If I select the FG mode on my AWG+ what is the maximum frequency that can be selected?

Question :

If I select the FG mode on my AWG+ what is the maximum frequency that can be selected?

Answer :

In FG mode, an AWG is outputting pre-defined waveform data.  To maintain a minimum level of waveform quality there is a limit of 10 or 100 points per cycle, depending on the model.  This means that the maximum clock rate of the instrument would be divided by 10 or 100 to determine the maximum frequency of a function generator mode waveform.  See table below.

Model       Max Clock     Max FG freq.
AWG4X0       200 MHz          20 MHz
AWG5X0           1 GHz        100 MHz
AWG610         2.6 GHz         260 MHz
AWG615         2.7 GHz         270 MHz
AWG710         4.0 GHz         400 MHz
AWG710B       4.0 GHz         400 MHz
