When looking at the jitter+ not the eye pattern+ what happens when the line / field button is pushed? Does it toggle between 1 line+ 2 line+ 1 field+ and 2 field?

The jitter display is just like a normal video waveform, as far as the sweep system is concerned. Thus all four sweeps (1/2 line and 1/2 fields are available (time base is read-out in upper right corner of CRT). Also, the line selector works; this is handy for windowing the jitter in 1/2 lines.
