My TPS2000 scope was running FV:V10.14 and I updated to FV:V10.20. I notice the cooling fan is running much faster now. Is this situation correct?

My TPS2000 scope was running FV:V10.14 and I updated to FV:V10.20. I notice the cooling fan is running much faster now. Is this situation correct?

Answer :

Yes, the fan has 3 speeds: fast, slow, and off. With the new firmware there were changes made to the fan algorithm. Also when the instrument is powered up the fan start up is at high speed. Speed changes can be adjusted once a minute. The scope also can transition from off to high speed.
