Enhance Student Learning in Electrical Engineering Labs
Students often struggle to learn new lab equipment, taking away from their learning experience. These student labs are designed with instructions for the 2 Series MSO so students can become familiar with cutting edge scopes before entering the workforce. Students will also be introduced to other test and measurement equipment including 2230 Programmable Power Supplies, DMM6500 and AFG1000.
These labs are designed to seamlessly integrate into existing curricula by combining the 2 Series MSO, 2230 Programmable Power Supplies, DMM6500 and AFG1000 in an educational bench setup. These instructions cater to all levels of students, from beginners to advanced learners, making it easier for everyone to grasp essential electrical engineering concepts. The labs also have instructor notes with expected lab results. By incorporating these labs into your curriculum, you provide students with a structured, hands-on learning experience that will solidify their understanding and application of key principles.
Student Lab Categories
Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering Labs
Our fundamental engineering labs cover beginner electrical engineering concepts using the 2 Series MSO. Use these resources to introduce core electrical concepts, and the 2 Series MSO and other Tektronix bench equipment to your students.
Digital Logic Labs
In digital systems, logic gates and flip-flop latches are two fundamental components. Use these labs to teach students about the building blocks of digital systems.
Filters and Amplifiers Labs
Filters and amplifiers are fundamental circuits in many applications. These labs introduce some core filters and amplifiers. These labs leverage the 2 Series MSO frequency response analysis tool to help students understand the frequency domain.
Embedded Systems Labs
Introduce your students to the world of embedded systems with our embedded systems labs. These labs leverage a microcontroller and bench setup to explain concepts like communication protocols. Instructors can use the prewritten code to assist students with completing these labs.
Power Converting and Regulating Labs
Explore the capabilities of the AFG1000, DMM6500 and 2230 Power Supplies though these power themed lab exercises. Equip your students with practical knowledge on AC to DC and DC to DC conversion with these hands-on exercises involving rectifying, converting and regulating circuitry. The labs are designed to deepen students’ understanding of power electronics.
