Does the AVDC100 provide the highest resolution for the audio to video delay measurement?

Answer :

No. The AVDC100 can only provide a 16.7 ms (1 field of 525 line) resolution for the audio to video delay measurement. The 625 line format has a resolution of 20 ms. To get higher resolution a VM700T with options 01, 40 and 42, in conjunction with a VITS200, and ASG100 can make audio to video delay measurements with a resolution of 0.2 ms. The AVDC100 provides audio to video delay measurements between SD serial digital video and AES audio. The VM700T provides audio to video delay measurments between NTSC or PAL composite video and analog audio.
