What is this “ghost” signal on the adjacent channels on the 3706A switch card?

Question :

What is this “ghost” signal on the adjacent channels on the 3706A switch card?

Answer :

On the DCV measurement function, the default input impedance is >10G ohms(10V, 1V and 100mV ranges). Sometimes a signal on one channel seems to linger on the display of a second channel in a scan of channels. This could happen because the high input impedance did not sufficiently bleed off the signal.

One method to remedy this is to set the input impedance to 10M using the input divider feature. This can be done with the custom function per channel sequence as shown in the attached demo video.
