What is the difference between Horizontal Delay and Horizontal Position?

Question :

What is the difference between Horizontal Delay and Horizontal Position?

Answer :

Horizontal Delay is the time between Time Zero and the first sample point. The minimum horizontal delay is 19ns.

Horizontal Position is the time between Time Zero and the Horizontal Reference Point. As the Horizontal Reference Point is moved, or the Horizontal position knob is used, the Horizontal position value will change. The Horizontal Position value is displayed below the graticule area to the right of the Time/div box.
