On the WFM700+ what is the difference between SILENCE and MUTE? When are they flagged as errors?

Question :

On the WFM700+ what is the difference between SILENCE and MUTE? When are they flagged as errors?

Answer :

MUTE is a sample with zero value.  A threshold can be set for number of consecutive samples with zero value before the error flag is set.

SILENCE is any sample with value below the level you determine to be silent. A time period in seconds is set as the threshold, with 1 second as the minimum threshold.
