Question :
Troubleshooting: How do I limit ground loops?
Answer :
The preferred method for reducing ground loops is to ground the measurement circuit in only one place. The most common problem is that Measurement LO input of the meter is connected to ground at the instrument, and ground is connected to the circuit under test a few feet away. Even when the grounding points are in close proximity, the point to which the ground is attached matters greatly.
