RSA3408A+ RSA2203A+ RSA2208A+ RSA3303A+ RSA3308A+ WCA230A+ WCA280A: What is the difference between channel power vs. power at a point on the trace?

Question :

RSA3408A+ RSA2203A+ RSA2208A+ RSA3303A+ RSA3308A+ WCA230A+ WCA280A: What is the difference between channel power vs. power at a point on the trace?

Answer :

The trace represents the power that comes through the RBW (resolution bandwidth), at each frequency along the trace.  So the power at each point is limited to what comes through that bandwidth.  The Channel Power feature integrates all the power that comes through a user defined channel width.  That width can be very many times the width of one RBW.
