Question :

I've heard that you can capture up to eight channels single shot with the 11403. Is this possible? What are the limitations?

Answer :

Yes, it is possible. As was explained in the answer to question #1, up to eight traces can be defined. If the combination of time per divisions setting and record length are such that the sample interval is 5 µsecs or less the 11403 will capture all eight traces. The 1 MHz chop rate of the plug-ins is the limiting factor to the maximum sampling rate. Since there is a maximum of four channels per plug-in, the maximum sampling rate for capturing those eight traces is 200 kS/s (1 µsec per channel times 4 channels equals 4 µsec. The next closest sample interval the 11403 can have is 5 µsec.
