How do I configure my VM700T to generate a timestamped log entry any time there is an error?

Question :

How do I configure my VM700T to generate a timestamped log entry any time there is an error?

Answer :

If you press the "Configure" button, then touch the "Configure Files" button followed by the "Communication Setup" button you will be presented with a variety of configuration settings. Near the top there are three categories: Copy, Report and Log.

The Copy settings determine which port and format to use for printing data when requested by the user by pressing the "Copy" button on the front panel.

The Report settings determine which port and format to use for printing a periodically scheduled status report (e.g. every night at midnight).

The Log settings determine which port and format to use for printing a report (including date and time) on the event of an error in Auto mode. Configure these settings for the printer or PC you have attached to the VM700 and then touch the "Update & Exit" button to save your changes. Once this is done your VM700 should print a report every time an error occurs in the Auto mode.
