Increase output resolution when saving waveform to CSV

Q: I am able to save captured waveforms to a CSV file (file > save as > waveform > CSV) that outputs columns with a TIME value, containing the timestamp down to 9 decimal places, and a voltage (CH[x]) value down to 2 decimal places. How do I increase the voltage output resolution to 3 decimal places (millivolt resolution)? 
I spent quite a bit of time adjusting various horizontal settings -- scale, sample rate / record length -- but was not able to see any output beyond the 2 decimal places. Is this some memory limitation within the device that prevents greater resolution being saved and output to the CSV?

I have tried with both the Series 2 MSO24 and MSO4014B. I am saving to a USB drive connected to the scope. 


A: Both the MSO24 and MS4kB have 8 bits of vertical resolution (2^8 = 256 voltage levels, so "2 decimal places" worth of resolution), so that's a limitation of the scope itself rather than some memory/USB protocol limitations.
You can try using Hi Res or averaging signal values; the horizontal column/TIME does not have to do with the vertical resolution.

the term you're looking for is ADC (analog to digital converters, sample ADC resolution formula.)
If you're meaning where the scope has the resolution listed, it is in the datasheets under vertical resolution.
