Question: P5200 (nonletter) probe has a mechanical range selection switch but P5200A has a different switch. If the power is removed from the probe, does the probe maintain the last selected range (50X or 500X) on it's next power-up?
Answer: NO- it does not particularly default to one or the other.
Expect a manual set up each time you use the probe.
Sometimes the probe will power up with the previous settings, but it's not consistent.
