Automated Compliance Testing of MIPI D-PHY Physical Layer

The MIPI Alliance has defined tests to ensure that MIPI D-PHY transmitter designs conform to MIPI standards.  D-PHY compliance testing is usually performed using an oscilloscope and may be automated to speed up testing, reduce errors and simplify reporting.  This app note gives an overview of the MIPI D-PHY physical layer and electrical signaling.  It lists key tests and discusses probing, fixtures and test setups using Tektronix oscilloscopes and automation software.
