As a result of our team’s incredible achievements this year, we were honored to win the Portland Business Journal’s Makers and Manufacturing 2022 Innovator of the Year award for the development of our 2 Series MSO.
In June, we launched the industry’s first benchtop oscilloscope that can go from the field to the lab without sacrificing functionality. The 2 Series Mixed Signal Oscilloscope (MSO) breaks traditional barriers for engineers as their critical testing and validation demands rapidly change. The need to accelerate testing speed from anywhere, even the most extreme environments, outside of the traditional lab settings, is a groundbreaking pivot for today’s engineers.
The annual awards recognize the region’s top companies in manufacturing that help shape the future by building the needs of next-generation products and manufacturing. Fifteen manufacturers shaping the industry were recognized at a recent breakfast event where Tektronix’s General Manager and Vice President of Portfolio Solutions Chris Witt spoke to guests about the key to innovation and encouraging innovation in the workplace.
The development of the 2 Series MSO was the result of a three-year-long effort to understand what was required to move the test and measurement category forward in a significant way. We took a customer-centric approach to learn the challenges and frustrations of today’s engineers and developed an oscilloscope, weighing less than 4 pounds and only 1.5 inches thick, that engineers can carry in a backpack to onsite locations.
Winning this award for the 2 Series MSO is a true testament to Tektronix’s contributions toward the advancement of technologies that touch each and every one of our daily lives.
