CSA8000+ TDS8000+ CSA8000B+ TDS8000B+ CSA8200+ TDS8200+ DSA8200+ 80SICON+ 80SSPAR+ 80SICMX: How can I perform custom simulation commands?

답변:

In most instances, the default simulation command supplied by IConnect will launch your simulation correctly. However, if you would like to change any aspect of the command, you may do so by pressing the Edit button and entering the desired command line in the dialog box. The command submitted to the operating system is identical to that displayed in the Command Line: text box, except that the following substitutions are made:

%exe– Simulator executable fully qualified filename, as entered in the Executable: text box.
%input – Input netlist fully qualified filename (no path prepended), which is the name of the composite model submitted for simulation.
%output – Output listing fully qualified filename, from which the waveforms will be read into IConnect following the simulation.

It is recommended that users enclose all three of the above keywords in double quotes, so that the operating system will correctly interpret filenames containing special characters such as spaces. However, HSpice tends to misinterpret quotes, and as a result they should not be used in a command line passed directly into HSpice.

Note that the simulation command may in fact be any executable (e.g., script) file which takes as inputs the simulation input and output filenames, and which causes the simulation output to be placed in a file with the correct output filename and in the correct format for IConnect to read. IConnect launches the simulation in the directory in which the composite model resides.

Users running custom simulations on platforms other than Microsoft Windows, or on simulators other than the above list of supported simulators, may find it necessary to perform some file format translations before IConnect can read their simulation output files. Tektronix can provide you with formatting information if you are creating such a translator. Note, however, that IConnect can read simulation results output by both the Microsoft Windows version and the various Unix versions of HSpice with no special file format translation necessary on the part of the user.
