Question :
Why should I care about the Picture Quality of my broadcast video and being able to analyze it?
Answer :
Video quality is a subjective measure with varying severity and acceptance - levels that are highly dependent on the broadcast equipment and the impairments that they impose. However, to maintain acceptable picture quality it is first important to benchmark the level and to reference it to the source video. The PQA500 provides this capability and more. It is an analysis system with reference video capture / generation, test video capture and an in-depth analysis tool complete with objective scores, graphs and frame - by - frame results. The results of the PQA500 are repeatable and the benchmark for the video under test to verify not only the broadcast quality but also the impairments that are imposed throughout the network.
