For SATA revision 1 the following are some of Pass/Fail tests required in the standard:

 Amplitude Differential Voltage
AC Common Mode Voltage
Timing Rise Time
Fall Time
Differential Skew
Jitter Total Jitter
Deterministic Jitter
Random Jitter
SSC Analysis
Out Of Band COMINIT
COMWAKE
COMRESET
