How were the default test limits for the VM5000 and VM6000 determined?

The test limits provided in the default limits file are not based on any standards with the exception of sync amplitude, sync timing and channel delay which are defined by industry standards. The values in the default limits file are merely recommendations and it is up to the user to decide how they wish to spec their devices and edit the limit file accordingly.
