Can the TDS3BATC be used with (and charged in) a TDS3000 series (non B) scope+ even though the voltage is different than the TDS3BAT (14.4V vs 12V)?

TDS3BATB RECALL

The Lithium-Ion TDS3BATC will work with all TDS3000, TDS3000B, and TDS3000C scopes. However, unless the scope firmware is version 3.27 or greater, the battery charge information shown on the scope display will not be correct.
