Flex Long Reach Solder Down (FLR) Probe Tips from Tektronix have an increased length to provide a longer reach to the target from the probe connection. A primary use case for these FLR tips is for system level TX testing of both DDR and LPDDR memory.
The material that the tips themselves are made out of is extremely flexible. This can help with soldering connections and hard to reach places, awkward angles, or just to relieve the strain on the solder point as much as possible to prevent breakage.
The S parameters for each tip are stored locally on the tips themselves, and when used in conjunction with a Tektronix oscilloscope and P7700 series probe the tip is automatically de-embedded for you without any manual setup such that the waveforms you see on channels one to four right away are de-embedded for that specific tip and probe combination.
The FLR tips work together with a Tektronix performance scope, TekExpress software, high bandwidth probes and Nexus Interposers to offer a complete system level DDR/LPDDR Tx solution.
