Tektronix announces the release of software version 6.0 for its Sentry family of products.
Building on the Sentry release of PVQ for MPEG-2, version 6.0 adds PVQ for H.264, which makes Sentry the least expensive, most scalable PVQ solution on the market. PVQ (Perceptual Video Quality), also known as eMOS (effective MOS), detects errors related to over-compression, such as blockiness. Sentry is unequalled in its ability to perform artifact detection on H.264 video streams. The PVQ for H.264 option also improves Sentry's video QoE and video freeze detection performance.
