We purchased a DPO4104 in 2008. In 2009 it was sent back for warranty repair due to signal path compensation failure. In 2011 we began to experience intermittent failures with the front panel not responding after power on and self test. In May of 2012 the front panel no longer would respond. The scope is kept in the calibration lab of a medical device manufacturer (very clean), and never taken off the bench. Additionally the scope is not used that frequently. Having previously calibrated and repaired many Tektronix scopes this one was chosen over the competitor's because of prior positive experiences with Tektronix scopes. This time I am disillusioned with the reliability of this particular product. Cost of repair is about $3K.
No, I do not recommend this product.
