Tektronix Acquires Adherent

Tektronix, Inc. is a test, measurement and monitoring company providing measurement solutions to the telecommunications, computer and semiconductor industries worldwide. With over 50 years of experience, Tektronix enables its customers to design, build, deploy and manage next-generation global communications networks and Internet technologies.

Strengthening its position as the global market leader of MPEG test, measurement, and monitoring equipment, Tektronix, Inc. has acquired Adherent Systems Ltd.

Adherent will be combined with the Tektronix video business to provide solutions that will enable the broadcast industry, as well as telecommunications and computer industries, to deploy MPEG technology for storage and transmission of video over broadband communication networks, including the Internet.

Adherent is now Tektronix Cambridge Ltd.
