DisplayPort

DisplayPort is a new digital display interface standard put forth by the Video Electronics Standards Association. It defines a digital audio/video interconnect intended to be used between computer and display monitors, or computers and home theater systems.

The DisplayPort connector supports 1 to 4 data pairs in a main link that also carries audio and clock signals, with a transfer rate of 1.62 or 2.7 gigabits per second. The video signal is not compatible with DVI or HDMI, but the specification allows pass-through of these signals.

Full Compliance Test Support

The DisplayPort specification was recently updated to version 1.1a as of January 11, 2008. The specification includes serial data rates of 1.62 and 2.7 Gbps per data pair for maximum data throughput of up to 10.8 Gbps for the link. Tektronix provides a complete, flexible solution to address the validation and compliance needs of the DisplayPort test requirements comprising of high performance hardware and comprehensive software packages.
