On the VM5000 or VM6000+ the noise spectrum is blank. How do you enable this function?
Answer :
To get the spectrum monitor to display a trace, you need to enable continuous measurements on noise before starting noise spectrum.
To enable the continuous measurements:
Select the CONFIGURATION menu. Then under MEASUREMENTS, select only noise.
Click on the OPERATION tab. Select SETUP and RUN and ONCE. Click on the RUN Icon.
Select RUN only and CONTINUOUSLY.
Click the RUN icon.
Click RESULTS tab and select NOISE
Click SPECTRUM.
