Tektronix Named Two-Time Finalist for "Best in Test" 2009 Awards

DPO3000 Oscilloscope and SA2600 Real-Time Spectrum Analyzer Nominated for Test & Measurement World "Best in Test” Awards

BEAVERTON, Ore., January 12, 2009 - Tektronix, Inc., a leading worldwide provider of test, measurement and monitoring instrumentation, today announced that two of its products were selected by the editors of Test & Measurement World magazine for its Best in Test 2009 industry awards.  The DPO3000 digital phosphor oscilloscope is one of 6 products receiving the nomination in the oscilloscope category.  In addition, the SA2600 handheld real-time spectrum analyzer was selected as one of 5 finalists in the RF/Microwave instruments category.  The awards honor products that have brought significant technological advancement to the test industry.

The category winners are determined by the magazine’s readers, who vote online between now and February 6, 2009.  Ballots are available online at   Best in Test award winners will be announced in the April issue of Test & Measurement World and online April 1st at

About the DPO3000
The DPO3000 digital phosphor oscilloscopes provide triggering and decode support for the most popular serial buses used in embedded applications.  The DPO3000 simplifies debug and sets new standards for performance, value, and ease-of-use.  The DPO3000 oscilloscope family consists of six models, ranging from 100 MHz to 500 MHz.  All models provide 2.5 GS/s sampling with >5x oversampling on all channels.

About the SA2600
The SA2600 handheld real-time spectrum analyzer includes DPXTM waveform image processor technology that provides a live RF view of the spectrum.  The SA2600 with 10kHz-6.2GHz frequency coverage, 20 MHz real time bandwidth and -153dBm Displayed Average Noise Level (DANL) is designed to deliver benchtop spectrum analyzer performance in a battery-operated, handheld field unit.
