When not triggered by an alarm+ are the ground closure pins on the REMOTE connector of a waveform monitor floating or set to logical low?

Question :

When not triggered by an alarm+ are the ground closure pins on the REMOTE connector of a waveform monitor floating or set to logical low?

Answer :

The ground closure pins on the remote port have nothing to do with the logic pins on that same port. When the ground closure is closed (triggered by an alarm) that pin becomes a ground point and completes a circuit. When the ground closure is open (not being triggered by an alarm) it is a floating node which prevents a circuit from forming. If it were set to logic low it would be the same as a ground but 10 volts lower.
