What is a SFN?


A single frequency network (SFN) is a TV transmitter network in which all the transmitters use the same frequency. The coverage areas overlap. Reflections are minimized by guard intervals. The transmitters are separated by up to 60 km. The special feature of these networks is efficient frequency utilization.
