Can the 764 display the digital audio CRC value?
Answer :
The 764 doesn't display the digital audio CRC value that is sent in the ancillary data packet or the calculated value from the audio signal. The 764 does verify that the audio signal is sent correctly. There are two entries displayed in the Session Statistics table that give an indication of the quality of the signal. These are Parity Errors, and Code Violations. In addition, there is an entry in the Channel Status window for Block CRC to identify whether it is valid. The VM700T with option 1S is able to make a detailed analysis of the digital audio CRC values.
