Known Issues

The following are known issues.  If available, a workaround is given.
- Equalizer does not properly hold equalization in recalled Setup after Preset.  Equalizer remains in hold configuration but the
signal is no longer being equalized.
Workaround:
Reset equalizer and then re-train.

Known Issues
------------
The following are known issues.  If available, a workaround is given.
- SOQPSK-ATRM uses too much BW (does not require 16x symbol rate)
- SOQPSK-ARTM does not properly support manual meas BW when analyzing recalled .tiq files
- Selection of vector on constellation does not remove inter-symbol points.
Workaround:  Select number of points= 1 in addition to vector selection
- An RSA application error can occur when using large keep-out times in the Pulsed RF Impulse Response measurement.
Workaround: Set the Impulse Response keep-out time to no more than 40% of the horizontal time scale as displayed in
the Pulse Trace display for IPR Amplitude or IPR Time.

When enabled the front panel keypad, external keyboard, and

- Settling Time Measurement (Frequency and Phase) - Option 12.
- Improved support for multi-domain analysis in multiple bandwidths - a new RF & IF Optimization (Best for multiple displays) is
added. This optimization sets the acquisition bandwidth of the instrument equal to the largest bandwidth requested by any open
measurement.
- Simplified control for RF & IF Optimization.  A single control (Ampl Menu) now applies to all measurements.
- Spectrogram scale and navigation enhancements, including
- Time per division control
- Time and Date display on the spectrogram
- Scroll bar added to spectrogram for easier navigation
- 3D spectrogram display added
- Auto-scale now adjusts spectrogram color range in addition to horizontal and vertical axis
- Zoom readout switches from % to spectrums/line when spectrogram is compressed

Known Issues
------------
The following are known issues.  If available, a workaround is given.
- Exporting pulse measurement results may not export results from the currently selected pulse display.
Workaround: First select a measurement in the pulse display to be exported.  Examples - For the pulse table display
select a cell in the table, for pulse trace or pulse statistics displays select a different result from the pull-down
then return to the desired result.
- TIQ and MAT IQ data is saved from the Time Zero Reference regardless of analysis offset setting.
- FMT may fail to trigger after DPX density trigger is used.
Workaround: Select Free Run trigger then return to FMT.
- Phase Noise/Jitter Measurement (Option 11) can miss CW signals at 1.00 MHz +-3 kHz offset from carrier.  Noise-like signals
are measured correctly. This will be fixed in a following software release.

Bug fixes and other enhancements

- Measurement support has been removed for the following modulation types in General Purpose Modulation Analysis (Option 21):
* SOQPSK, SBPSK and CPM for MIL-STD-188-181C
* SOQPSK-ARTM Tier 1
- The "guard band" between channels in the ACPR and MCPR measurements has been increased (2x) to better account for channel edge effects.
- Trace points control has been added for the ACPR and MCPR measurements.
- The TIQ file format has been updated to support Acquisition History. As a result TIQ files saved with this version, and following, cannot be read by any previous SW version.
- Event numbers returned from :status:<meas>:events are changed such that events which do not go to the event queue have their event numbers offset by +10,000 (decimal) compared to previous releases. See the programmer manual for details about this query.

Known Issues
------------
The following are known issues.  If available, a workaround is given.
- The frequency control for the Amplitude vs Time, Frequency vs Time, Phase vs Time, and RF I&Q vs Time measurements actually controls 'measurement frequency' even though control label reads 'center frequency'.
- Windows Embedded may crash (blue screen) after using extended desktop mode.
Workaround: Do not use extended desktop mode.
To clear a crash, restart the instrument without a monitor attached and wait for Windows to restart completely (this takes about 15 minutes after a crash).
- Starting with v2.0.104 a "FILE NOT FOUND" error may appear in the event log one time after the initial upgrade is completed.  This is the result of a change to the disk location for the saved power-down instrument state.
Workaround: None needed.

Known Issues
------------
The following are known issues.  If available, a workaround is given.

- When DPX is the only display selected and in triggered mode with fast frame, DPX will stop after the first fast frame acquisition completes.  Workaround: Open a second display (DPX can be maximized to mimic the look of DPX running alone).
- Extended diagnostics may fail if started with external trigger & time qualification enabled.  Workaround: Preset the instrument prior to running extended diagnostics.
- DPX Clear button does not clear the bitmap trace when using no or variable persistence.
- When running the RSA application as a non-administrator, under some conditions of maximum memory usage an unhandled exception can occur causing the RSA application to exit.  Workaround: Run the RSA application using an administrator account.
- When using log frequency scale (Spectrum and Spurious displays) setting Start frequency > Stop frequency can cause the application to freeze.  Workaround: Set the desired span in linear frequency scale then switch to log scale.
- When using manual acquisition BW set to 110 MHz or 60 MHz and Span set to 40 MHz or below, a spur may be visible at -80dBm in the DPX display only.  Workaround: Use 'Auto' acquisition settings.

Note: Special procedures are needed for downgrading from this SW version to a previous version.
Starting with this version the instrument data cache file is stored at a new location on the disk.  The instrument SW will automatically move the existing data cache file to its new location.  Subsequently, if an older version of the SW is run on the same unit, it will not find the data cache file in the old location and will create a 40MB default cache file.  The result is that long acquisitions will not be supported.
If a SW downgrade is desired, then move the data cache file from its new location back to its old location as follows:

Automatic frequency-mask generation from spectrum and DPX traces for instruments equipped with Option 02.
- Masks can be generated from the following traces:
Spectrum trace 1,2,3, math or spectrogram
DPX +peak, -peak, average or math trace
- User control of horizontal and vertical mask offset from the trace

Spurious search (standard)
- Up to 20 ranges can be defined with independent resolution bandwidths, filter types, detector and limits.
- Up to 999 spurious are reported
- Measurements relative to absolute power, user-entered reference power or relative to a measured carrier
- Spurious search setups and search outputs can be exported to .csv files for offline setup and analysis.
