Bandwidth conservation is critical to operators in a time of rapid content growth. Multichannel service providers are adding more HD channels, adding file-based content and are carouseling more applications to subscriber terminals. All of this content is being delivered through the same core infrastructure. Sentry® enables multichannel service providers to monitor and optimize their bandwidth utilization by providing bandwidth monitoring, alerting of bandwidth anomalies and historical trending report capabilities. Furthermore, service providers can create virtual program groupings and simulate bandwidth utilization of the groupings based on historical data collected.
