PC Waveform Editing

Developing and generating stimulus signals is a challenge once signals deviate from standard functions like Sine, Square or Triangle. To source complex signals you need more than a Function Generator - you need an Arbitrary Function (AFG) or Arbitrary Waveform Generator (AWG).

AFGs and AWGs are powerful and extremely flexible signal sources, plus they support PC-based waveform editing tools. These tools extend the versatility of your signal source beyond the immediate vicinity of the bench giving you freedom to create and edit complex signals from your PC.

ArbExpress® gives you the freedom to create standard functions in addition to complex "arbitrary" signals - signals with noise, glitches or arithmetically derived properties.

Multi-Carrier IQ Generator (MCIQ) lets you create single and multi-carrier IQ signals, with and without impairments, using a wide variety of modulation types.

RFXpress enables you to create and edit RF, IF and IQ waveforms. To thoroughly test a design, the signals can then be modified by adding impairments, distortion or interferences.

ArbExpress, MCIQ and RFXpress operate in a Windows™ environment and can run from an external PC, or from a Tektronix signal generator. These software packages are an excellent compliment to your Stimulus - Acquisition system.
