Not really a "tek" product, doesn't live up to the legacy of the THS700

This is really a rebranded fluke scopemeter (since tektronix was acquired by the fluke company it kind of makes sense). I am a HUGE fan of the old THS700 handheld scopes (in my opinion the best performing rugged handheld scope ever made), and I was kind of hoping (and waiting for the past 10 years) that tektronix would bring them up to date with some of the latest innovations (ie deep memory, color Lcd, serial decoding, 4 channels, etc). I have never really liked fluke scopes (they make some of the best multimeters in the world, and some of the worst oscilloscopes). I have always been a loyal tektronix user, and have brought their equipment to every company I have worked for. This product in my opinion kind of fell short of being a tektronix scope. If you love fluke scopemeters, you will not be disappointed with this. Essentially tek gave some of their serial decoding software to fluke engineers to integrate into their product, and this looks to be the result. If you are accustomed to the tektronix user interface that all their digital scopes have and don't like clicking through menus to find functions, you will probably be disappointed with this. I have been using tek products for >20yrs and know the history and products well.
