nice lightweight little scope

This scope is very lightweight (4 lbs.) and uses very little energy. I transport mine in a small school backpack lined with additional layers of foam I bought at a local hardware store.
Although it doesn't have a built-in battery for portable operation, it only consumes 30 W max. I used my TDS2024C to troubleshoot a rarely occurring intermittent ignition problem in a van....while driving around and monitoring ignition controller signals over a period of about 3 months. During that time I powered it with a small inverter connected to the van's battery.
With this scope, you can save all your captured data to a USB thumb drive or hard drive. And you can save all active channels to .csv files with a single touch of a button. This is a big timesaver compared to some older scopes I've used where you had to save each channel individually.
This scope would be good for Sophomore EE labs. I know it's great for general purpose troubleshooting below ~ 100 MHz (bandwidth is 200 MHz).
This is a great entry level scope; it's easy to use and it's a good value.

We purchased the scope about two years ago and I gets used every day. All of its controls and functions are easy to use and I don't have to spend much time training lower level technicians to use it. My only real complaint with it is that it has developed noise on two of its channels but we use it so often that it would be difficult to send it in for repair.

For the price this is an exceptional oscilloscope. I have used it to measures clocks to 80MHz, troubleshoot 14 bit 40MHz ADC's. I really don't know how they produce such a oscilloscope for the price.

TDS2024 DSO is Tek's best product that provides best performance in very compatible price.... I am using my Tiddy (TDS2024C) from last 1 year....and my experience with it was awesome......The functionality of Tiddy is very easy, due to handy controls. Using powerful math functions, on board FFT and much more, my work becomes easy... and PC connectivity solution by Tek made documentation of my work very easy and reliable... My Tiddy is very light weight so i can bring it with me where ever I am... final words about my Tiddy "Tiddy is my best Friend" :)
