Improving Vertical Resolution in Tektronix DPOs

When making high-resolution, low-voltage measurements, many oscilloscope users would benefit from a better understanding of oscilloscope operating modes and the performance characteristics of probes and oscilloscopes. This technical brief describes some of the fundamental measurement and signal-processing techniques used for high-resolution waveform acquisition in Tektronix digital oscilloscopes. Knowledge of the benefits and trade-offs will make it easier to choose and successfully apply Tektronix oscilloscopes and probing solutions.
