Eye Measurements on Optical RZ Signals

This technical brief describes several automatic eye measurements for RZ signals contained in Tektronix' DSA8200 sampling oscilloscope. Examples of real signals are presented, as well as guidelines to ensure valid test results. A method of building measurements using an oscilloscope math system is also described for those who need to use custom measurements and to accommodate new tests in the future.
