The power supply is a solidly built unit. The case is strong with a good overall weight to it (half decent transformer used no doubt). The rubber boot at the front gives it a good feel. The display is bright and easy to read. There isn't too much going on, so it is easy to see the things you need to (not gimmicky like some supplies out there). Setting the voltage and current limits is performed without difficultly and swiftly. The Vset and I-set buttons allow one to switch between the two limits quickly. The numeric keyboard allows for quick entry. The only issue I have found is with the jog shuttle. While it is a nice feature I found it to be too small. It works well if your just moving it for a few digits but becomes annoying for anything beyond that. The control itself is slightly wobbly when using it to zip through many numbers. It feels like it was only held in place by its solder joints or too far back on its shaft. Had the shaft been supported near the front of the case it would have been a much better shuttle. Its not a deal breaker though; zipping through lots of numbers would get annoying anyways, even with a good shuttle, and moving through a few numbers it works quite well. The software installed easily and connection to the device occurred without incident. I am pleased with the provided software. Those that want to run this software in Wine for Linux won't be able to do so, as it will not load the application. Over-all I am pleased with supply, its ease of use (the menus are also easy to navigate) and the solid feeling it has.
