Overview

Our office in Richardson, Texas is a development center for 2.5G and 3G mobile data, voice-over-packet (VoIP) technologies and traditional networks. It is home to more than 400 engineers, field marketing, sales and human resources professionals, making it our largest facility in the United States outside of our Beaverton, Oregon headquarters.

Tektronix provides associates with 120 hours of vacation per year and eleven paid holidays each calendar year.

Location

Richardson is located in North Central Texas, approximately 10 miles north of downtown Dallas. Richardson has 30 public parks, and five public pools in addition to golf, tennis and recreation centers.

More than 80,000 people work each day in the Telecom Corridor®, located in the heart of Richardson. The 11-mile Telecom Corridor® is one of the most significant high-tech business concentrations in the United States. It is home to over 600 high-tech companies.

Cultural institutions in Dallas include: forty professional and community theatres, thirteen symphony and chamber orchestras, four ballet groups and two opera associations. There are over 100 live performances nightly. The Dallas Museum of Art, the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center, and the Nasher Sculpture Center are part of the Dallas Arts District. The 60-acre development is the largest downtown arts district in the country.

In addition to Richardson cultural arts, the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex offers a wide variety of cultural and entertainment activities including professional and semi-professional football, basketball, hockey, soccer and baseball. Rodeos can be found in nearby Mesquite and at the Forth Worth Stockyards, which is a great place to learn about western heritage.
