The Portland area is a great place to live, play, and work. Over the past two decades, Portland has been hailed as a national model for urban planning and envied for its safe streets and superior quality of life.
In fact, Portland has been proclaimed as North America’s “Best Big City,” according to Money magazine. One visit will explain why. Our unmatched natural beauty, our bustling local scene including a thriving arts community, our more than 200 community parks, our sumptuous dining and welcoming accommodations -- all effortlessly accessed thanks to one of the most extensive and advanced transit systems in the U.S. -- make Portland a city that is big on livability.
The climate in the Portland area is fairly mild and, believe it or not, it’s not always raining here. Temperatures range from the mid-40s in the winter to the high 80s in the summer.
