Who will I meet?
At a typical onsite interview, you might meet anywhere from 3 to 6 or more people. You will meet and interview with the potential hiring manager, someone from Human Resources, as well as members of the team for which you're being considered.
What will you want to know about me?
We're hoping to find out as much as we can to help us understand what your skills are and what experiences you've had (i.e. internships, class projects, work experience, etc.). We'll want to know things like how you solve problems, how you interact with others, as well as what your specific technical abilities are.
What will you tell me about you?
We'll give you information about the group with whom you're interviewing, as well as the specific job responsibilities or project. You will also get an overview of benefits and compensation so you'll know what to expect if you decide to join us.
What happens after I interview?
There's typically a debriefing with the interview team and a selection made by the hiring manager. This can happen the day of your interview or could take up to a few weeks depending on other candidates being considered and their availability. Once a selection has been made, we'll either make you an offer of employment or notify you that another candidate has been selected.
Do I need to have a technical degree to get a job?
While the majority of our college hires do have EE or CS degrees, we also hire people into areas like Finance, Materials, Public Relations, etc., where we'd be looking for an applicable degree such as business, supply chain management, or marketing.
