WiMAX Solution for RSA3408A

The RF technology for Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) stems from the designs for broadband data communication. Orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) and orthogonal frequency-division multiple access (OFDMA) are technologies used in fixed and mobile WiMAX to distribute the data streams across several hundred adjacent frequency sub-channels.

RSA-IQWIMAX supports WiMAX conformance measurements and other critical PHY layer measurements:

RSA-IQWIMAX offers continuous signal analysis of WiMAX waveforms captured by the RTSA, including EVM and spectral measurements. The system's ability to Discover, Trigger, Capture and Analyze WiMAX bursts improves the designer's time-to-insight. For example, RSA-IQWIMAX works with the RTSA's frequency mask trigger (FMT) to capture intermittent events in the frequency domain to analyze frequency settling and phase errors that occurred during the burst transmission. Such capabilities significantly help in understanding and debugging RF performance-related issues.

To solve the problems created by these complex designs, engineering teams must be able to more quickly detect, diagnose and resolve design errors. This improves the quality and time to market for WiMAX end-user products, including consumer electronics, computers and hand-held devices.
