Hardware Interfaces

It is important to provide multiple electrical interfaces that support a wide variety of rates. It is also important to provide vast amounts of disk space as well as flexibility and room to grow. The MTS400 Series provides all of these things, plus more.

ASI - Support for DVB ASI generation, recording, and analysis is provided at rates from 250 kbps up to ~214 Mbps. Support for both Packet-mode and Burst-mode are available in generation, recording, and analysis. SPI (DVB parallel) - Support for DVB SPI generation, recording, and analysis is provided at rates from 250 kbps up to 108 Mbps. See DVB-PI EN50083-9 for more information about "Interfaces for equipment for DVB/MPEG-2 transport streams."

SMPTE310M - Support for SMPTE310M generation, recording, and analysis is provided at a rate of 19.392658 Mbps.

144 GB disk storage - A pair of high-speed 72 GB SCSI-3 (Ultra) disks are provided for simultaneous generation and recording. Additional SCSI-3 disks can be attached at the rear-panel of the MTS400 Series. The maximum rate is ~214 Mbps in either generation or recording. A maximum aggregate rate of ~214 Mbps is allowed while generating and recording at the same time.

Built-in DVD/CD recorder - Support is provided for reading and writing several types of optical media : CD- R/W, DVD- R/RW, and DVD+ R/RW
