A1. USB 3.0 Validation, Debug, and Compliance Solutions
USB (Universal Serial Bus) enables peripheral devices such as portable disk drives, printers, and digital cameras to be connected to a PC using a universal interface socket, and allows these devices to be hot-swapped. The theoretical maximum data rate of USB 2.0 and wireless USB is 480 Mb/s and USB 3.0 will operate at 5 Gb/s. In particular, how do you test Tx CTLE equalizer functions and reference channel emulation, as USB 3.0 Specs requires?
Tektronix' comprehensive, integrated tool set-signal sources, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, probes and software - enables you to resolve these issues quickly and efficiently so that you can easily design standard-compliant USB products.
A2. Simplify the Last HDMI Compliance Testing
The consumer electronics industry is undergoing a digital revolution in display technology performance. The growth in Plasma/LCD flat panel display size and pixel count has driven the need for faster and more efficient bus technologies. HDMI is capable of multi-gigabit serial transmissions and requires a disciplined approach to interoperability/ compliance testing. This session will review the critical elements of the HDMI PHY Layer test requirements. We will also demonstrate proven test methods for validating HDMI v.1.4, using the approved, ground-breaking Direct Synthesis solution to take HDMI Sink testing to a new level.
A3. Signal Integrity and Physical Layer Measurements and Analysis of Digital Systems
As a proactive steward actively participating and sharing across today's most important standards bodies, Tektronix is truly the engineer's advocate. Whether you design to one standard or across many, shouldn't somebody be considering all of them for you, and thinking about exactly how you are going to test in your environment? When your designs pass, you'll be confident that they've been run through the industry's most balanced analysis.
Our shared methods of implementation (MOIs) help ensure that tests are repeatable, universal, and fair. Furthermore, the broad range and high performance of our products give you the flexibility and assurance you need to feel certain about the global interoperability of your device.
A4. Simplify Advanced Radar Testing
Historically, radar pulse measurements have always presented many challenges to design engineers, production test managers and field technicians. The transient nature of the radar pulse combined with modern pulse compression schemes often demand elaborate test setups. Traditionally, the test and measurement industry has been unable to offer comprehensive pulse measurement software, forcing many radar engineers to create complex custom test solutions. With today's rapid advances in radar test and electronic warfare technology, developing and manufacturing highly specialized and innovative electronic products requires leading-edge technology and tools. Our innovative test equipment reduces uncertainty during the design process and delivers confidence in the integrity of increasingly complex designs.
B1. DTV and IPTV Monitoring – Reducing Network Downtime
As the worldwide DTV market continues to evolve, a shifting consumer viewing behavior combined with increasing competitive pressure is driving an explosion in broadcast channel count and overall CAPEX investment. Delivering superior Quality of Service (QoS) to maintain differentiation in this competitive market becomes paramount to traditional broadcasters and Multi-Service Operators (MSO).
B2. Compliance Made Easy
The presentation is for broadcast and post-production professionals who need to understand issues that will help them ensure the compliance and compatibility of their content. Specialized Tektronix tools that speed and simplify these techniques will be discussed.

A3. Verifying and Debugging Embedded Systems
In this session, we will look at key trends in the design of low speed serial buses, including RS-232, I2C, SPI, CAN, LIN, FlexRay and Serial Digital Audio design in the consumer electronics, industrial controls, medical equipment and automotive industries. We will focus on some of the key technical challenges such as synchronizing the CAN nodes in the CAN network, simultaneously viewing the CAN/LIN protocol data from two segments of the network and characterizing the network. An overview of Tektronix's timing and protocol decoding software solution that helps address these challenges will be followed with a demonstration of a number of key measurements such as protocol decoding of traffic, oscillator tolerance, eye diagram analysis, and bus utilization.
A4. Critical Consideration for Probing
The probe is more than just a way to connect to your device; it is a critical component of your measurement system. During this session, you will learn the strengths and weaknesses of different probes, and how to select the right probe for your application. We will also cover critical tips for using probes properly for quality measurements.
