TekScope® Feature Highlights
Don't be fooled by TekScope's size. It includes the advanced
features you'd expect in a Tektronix oscilloscope. Follow the
links below to learn about a few of the ways TekScope will make
your measurement tasks quick and easy:
Standard Features
These features are found on all TekScope models:
THS-710A, THS-720A,
THS-720P, and
THS-730A
-
Point & Zoom
-
Adding some delay between a trigger event and the start of
an acquisition allows you to zoom in on part of a signal
that occurs well after the trigger event. Until now,
setting up such a delay required manually calculating and
setting the appropriate delay time--a tedious and
time-consuming process. With "Point & Zoom", TekScope
does the work for you.
-
Pulse Width Triggering
-
Frequently, the old standby "edge" trigger just doesn't
provide stable triggering on today's complex control and
data signals. TekScope's "pulse" trigger type provides the
ability to generate trigger events based on the width of a
pulse, rather than just the rising or falling edge.
-
Video Triggering
-
Video signals are notoriously difficult to trigger on.
TekScope simplifies the process with its special "Video"
trigger type.
-
External Trigger
-
Sometimes, you need to look at two channels, but can't get
a good trigger on either one. "External Trigger" lets you
use a third signal as the trigger source.
-
Phase Cursor Measurements
-
When working with repetitive signals, it is sometimes more
convenient to think in terms of phase angles (with 360°
representing one cycle) rather than time. TekScope's
vertical bar cursors can easily handle either.
-
dB and dBm Measurements
-
For some applications, it is more convenient to measure
voltages in dB relative to a reference voltage, or in dBm
into a known load. The TekScope DMM can display
measurements in volts, dB, or dBm.
These features are found only on the THS-720P
-
Motor Trigger
-
Even pulse-width triggering can't provide a reliable
trigger for many motor control signals. The TekScope
THS-720P provides a special "motor" trigger type just for
these systems.
-
Harmonics & Power Measurement
-
Power line quality--both incoming and outgoing--are of
increasing concern, especially in industrial settings. The
TekScope THS-720P provides a new operating mode dedicated
to providing information about the harmonic content and
quality of line power.
